1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the NeuroKey application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

NeuroKey is a local, offline-first digital vault utility designed to encrypt and store credentials and digital cards on your personal device. The App operates completely offline and does not synchronize data to any external servers or cloud providers.

3. User Responsibility and Data Loss (CRITICAL)

Because NeuroKey utilizes a strict "Zero-Knowledge" and offline-first architecture, we have absolutely no ability to recover your data, reset your Master Password, or bypass your biometric authentication.

• You are solely responsible for remembering your Master Password and maintaining access to your biometrics.
• You are solely responsible for creating and safely storing manual, encrypted backups of your vault.
• If you lose your device, uninstall the App without a backup, or forget your Master Password, your data will be permanently irretrievable. We cannot and will not be held liable for any loss of data.

4. Open Source License

The source code for NeuroKey is publicly available and licensed under the MIT License. You are free to inspect, modify, and compile the code yourself in accordance with the terms of that license. However, the pre-compiled APK provided on this website is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "As Is."

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NeuroKey is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", with all faults and without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, immune to localized device compromise (such as malware installed on your phone), or that it will meet your specific requirements.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developer of NeuroKey be liable for any personal injury, property damage, lost profits, cost of substitute goods, loss of data, or any form of direct or indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use or inability to use the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days" notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
